A short weekend visit to Perth has been one of my favourite trips around Australia! Driving North and seeing the Pinnacles was like being on another planet and I was surprised at how pristine and white the sand beach was at Cervantes, a small seaside town where we stopped for a fish & chip lunch. After such a great day I was enjoying driving back south while Josh slept beside me, and so preoccupied by the scenery that I failed notice the fuel light was on and the tank was empty. Luckily he woke up in time to ask how long the light had been on and we made it by the skin of our teeth to a petrol station. Safe to say I didn't do any more driving after that stunt. We also travelled South from Perth and explored the Margaret River wine region and went sting ray spotting in Hamelin Bay.
